Bumping this on account of the continuing discourse. In case you can't find an IMAX, prefer Euripidean tragedy to Homeric epics, or just prefer films with *no action whatsoever* (not a single battle! just dramatic speeches!), this is the movie for you. CW though: a deer is killed for real I'm pretty sure, so fair warning.

I participated in the #disquietjunto this week. (boy, soundcloud is annoying now)

Just left this comment on discogs, where I found the video - but it's interesting the Italo obsession with America, given that the American reception of Italo reflected a European obsession, if maybe not a specifically Italian obsession, e.g. Sharivari.

Cool lecture on the history of Italo disco, drawing a line from post-War Italy through the 'years of lead' to a retreat from politics, to which Italo was the soundtrack.

A strange amount of ancient Greek discourse on The Internet lately. If that sort of thing gets you going, you should watch Iphigenia (1977) if you get a chance. Heavy.

Press this button for ham. (For clarification, this link is to a site containing a button that, when you press it, says ham. It is not my ham button site, but of all the ham button sites, this is the one with a button that says ham.) https://thehambutton.com/

Baby's on fire, better throw her in the water

Searching youtube for tutorials on the poly~ object in max and the algo recommended me a "most ridiculous moments in women's snooker" video and I don't know why.

I'm a big fan of Twin Peaks and this is the best analysis of seasons 1 and 2 I've seen. https://www.thecut.com/2014/10/ranking-of-all-117-sweaters-seen-on-twin-peaks.html

I don't mind quote-posts, but it would be nice if filters/mutes applied to the quoting post rather than just the quoted post. Like, if a post quotes an account I have muted or a post containing a term I have filtered, I don't want to see a notice that 'oh this post is hidden because blah blah blah', I'd rather not see it at all. Not the quoting or quoted post. (I filter and mute capriciously and extensively.)
