A grey and murky day, but still lovely to get out with the hooligans. #dogsofmastodon #NWales

Ace to get out and test glide that wing I've been working on with @freecad and my #FoamO #CNC foam cutter. Also so lucky to have this location near me. #NWales. Little edit of a few clips now on my @MakerTube

We are thrilled to announce 🤩 that #FileSender Open Cloud Mesh is one of the 47 open-source projects selected for funding by the NGI Zero Commons Fund! 🎉
This project will add support 🤓 for an emerging standard call Open Cloud Mesh, which would allow users to directly move files from and to any OCM compatible storage solution. 👍
Huge thanks to @nlnet for their support! 🤝

Bashed out some replacement RC wheel hubs for the WPL steering and rear axles which are bizarrely 5mm when the wheels are 5.5mm. No more slop.

0.8mm layers on the Qidi Q2

Final assembly and configuration of my #SatNOGS Ground Station finished 😀. Let's see if I can bring it on the air tomorrow.

A visit to London == streetart hunting

Had an awesome birthday weekend with the amazing @shieladixon making a fantastically #ZXSpectrum themed birthday cake. With sparklers!

For todays #FreeCADFriday I can show this mockup of a NIM Module made at work.

In the next step, the green PCB will be replaced with a proper one exported from #KiCad so I can make the required modifications/holes in the orange front-plate.

This was made using the assembly workbench - its my first project using assembly in FreeCAD

A quick 2 minute play with @freecad 26.3 release candidate 2, it's SO nice to just be able to add text in sketches! #FreeCAD

I folded another Origami figure. It's the Grim Reaper, but in his leisure outfit — the purple cloak. 😅
I don't have black paper. It would look great in black. Or white as a more generic ghost.
I think the final figure looks pretty awesome. It has a nice 3D look to it and it wasn't all that hard to fold. Not easy enough that I could do it again without instructions, but there were no hiccups while I was folding along with the video. 😊

@freecad
😅 just in time before shutting down the computer I'm happy with today's #FreeCADfriday project: a hard shell battery case for my #velomobile – capacity display and cable protection included.

Ever wondered what goes on inside TOG? 🛠️

Join Tríona for a tour of our home in Dublin 12. From electronics and 3D printing to woodworking, craft and amateur radio, there’s plenty to have a look at.

TOG is run by volunteers and funded by our members. It’s a place to make things, fix things, learn something new and share what you know.

If you’ve been meaning to visit, this is a good first look. Then come along to an open night or event and see the place for yourself!
