Open Call for Artists: Open Archief 5.0. The days when archives were considered seemingly objective repositories are long gone. Archival practices – such as selecting, describing, ordering, safeguarding and gatekeeping, amongst others – hold many implications, both intentional and unintentional, that affect the way stories and histories are being told, kept and erased, making it a powerful tool that affects how we live our lives. https://bit.ly/open-archief

It’s surreal’: US sanctions lock International Criminal Court judge out of daily life. Prost had been added to the US’ sanctions list, because in 2020 she authorised an investigation into possible atrocities in Afghanistan, including by US troops. https://www.irishtimes.com/world/us/2025/12/12/its-surreal-us-sanctions-lock-international-criminal-court-judge-out-of-daily-life/

The Trump administration is preparing to impose sweeping sanctions on the International Criminal Court that would cut the court off from much of the global financial system, a sharp escalation in Washington’s efforts to dismantle the institution after it issued an arrest warrant for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
