Day Thirty:
56,765 / 50,000
I had to end on a palindrome, so I added a small amount after the milestone. And that's a wrap, for me!
I hope your November brought you words, if that was what you wanted!

Day Twenty-Nine:
55,817 / 50,000
This is not a palindrome (which I've been doing for ages), because it's far more special than that. My millionth word written specifically during NaNoWriMo. Even better, my twelfth NaNoWriMo, so a "year" of Novembers. This has been an explicit goal (and has been a big driver of my 100k+ word counts for several years) since 2016 when a friend accomplished the same (he started well before I did).
I did it! 🎉
Day Twenty-Seven:
50,005 / 50,000
Success, but there's about 6.5k left to write to achieve my real goal for this month. This is a great spot to be with three days left, though, that makes it a fairly easy 2,200/day to wrap up.
...and apparently I'm just forgetting all over the place to post.
Day Twenty-Two:
37,973 / 50,000
I was a tad behind for a short while, but caught up surprisingly easily. Things are going smoothly, which would be scary, except this is my twelfth November doing this.
Day Seven:
13,331 / 50,000
D'oh! Forgot to update along the way...
It started slow, and writing was very difficult for the first few days. However, yesterday I was able to manage two good writing shifts (a set of morning sprints, and a set of evening sprints), and fully caught up with an almost 6k day.
Very slightly ahead right now, after writing this morning.
#WritingMonth 2025 / #NaNoWriMo 2025 Day One
The midnight kickoff on our old group's discord was just me, but I still managed a gentle start with a pair of sprints. Worst kickoff since I started doing them, under 1k, but... at least I wrote.
Wrapped up the evening with a couple more sprints (and another writer in the region joined me), hit my word count plus a smidge. So, yay!
2,002 / 50,000
Oh, hey, wasn't The Angry Red Planet on #Svengoolie last year?
Ah! Sneaking in at the last moment for #Monsterdon ! (Fortunately, I have the movie handy already...)
Whew. Last minute scramble to get a bingo card, and load it up...
#Monsterdon is a go!
Oh, yeah, a true classic for #Monsterdon tonight! The Creature from the Black Lagoon, starting at the top of the hour (about fifteen minutes from now)
Bingo card, food, and the movie ready to go.
Oh, if I'm reading the feed right, there's a colorized version? I'm watching in Black & White, with a runtime of about 1 hour, 10 minutes.
#Monsterdon coming soon! The Man from Planet X.
I've seen a number of old movies with "X" in the title, no idea if this was one of them.
Popcorn ready, movie ready, bingo card generated. We're a go at the top of the hour!
I can't believe I've never actually watched this!
Little Shop of Horrors queued up, #Monsterdon ready to go!
Palindromes are deliberate, ever since the year I ended on 66,654, wrote twelve more words to finalize. Then, somewhere along the way, I decided to do it for the daily word counts, too. So satisfying, but very restrictive at certain word counts.
My eleventh year doing the event, and I'm on track to easily make the "million words in a year's worth of (i.e. 12) NaNos" next year. Or whatever form of writing month has taken hold, anyway.
Meant to celebrate this last night, but...
Day Thirty(already???):
102,201 / 50,000
Good #WritingMonth / #NaNoWriMo Kept to palindromes, and stayed above the 1,667 par every day.
Day Twenty-Nine:
100,001 / 50,000
Yup, slowing down as the month winds down, no doubt. But still, well past my real goal (80k).
Day Twenty-Eight:
98,189 / 50,000
I don't think I'll reach the full stretch goal, but anything over 100k is plenty!
Day Twenty-Seven:
95,959 / 50,000
Definitely running out of steam. Feeling a little like I'm running on fumes. However, at 2k/day for the next three days, I'll still exceed 100k, and that's pretty darn good!
Day Twenty-Six:
93,939 / 50,000
A bit sluggish today, but that's OK. Still well past the base goal.
