Today was the kickoff of our new #EU project on #AI Readiness for Social Impact #ai4social
We from @galaxyfreiburg are excited to be part of this #EOSC project with more than 10 partners.
During the next years we will mostly contribute to developing an AI-ready infrastructure platform and particularly support the use case on AI in Historical Archives with #tools #workflows and trainings.

I am excited to present @galaxyfreiburg in a panel of #LoveDataweek with my colleagues from the Central Data Facility and the DH Lab next week:

What counts as “research data” in the humanities? How can we get and responsibly manage that data?

Join us for an interactive talk that answers these questions and introduces you to different institutions at the University of Freiburg to help you with your research data analysis.

It was really exciting to participate in my first #cordi two weeks ago! I really enjoyed all the discussions with #rdm experts and got many new insights. I am thankful for the opportunity to present the applicability of #usegalaxy as an #openscience platform for #DigitalHumanities and #socialsciences and all the feedback I got.

Thanks to the organisers for making it such a great event! #nfdi
I am already looking forward to the next one.

Hi #histodons,
I need your expertise. We want to integrate an #opensource #ocr tool into our #useGalaxy Platform so you can better analyse your texts, etc.
I worked with #tesseract some years ago, and I heard about #ocr4all.
Do you have experience with any of these - or other recommendations?
We are also integrating #tranksribus via API but want another ocr-specific option.
Looking forward to your experiences!

I love that this year's #adventofcode 🎅 is set around a Chief Historian!
It takes all my composure not to switch over to coding the fun bits but instead focus on preparing my dissertation's manuscript for handing it in. 📜 Today's task: prepare #researchdata and readme for publication. #phdlife
