Voted early. Piece of shit dirtbag ahead of me was wearing a 'Praise Charlie Kirk' t-shirt.
Don't listen to the polls. Don't listen to pundits. Don't listen to infuencers.
Get your ass out there and VOTE. Because the shitheads ARE VOTING.

"Every crisis is the end of an illusion"
— Jerry Weinberg
Shit man, that was a LOT of illusions...
Alien 1 on UFO: "Hey, I know, let's go visit Earth!"
Alien 2: "What, humans? Bags of salt water filled with neuroses. I don't see the attraction."
Alien 1: "it's called 'New York Style Pizza''"
Alien 2: ...
Alien 1: "Plus they have chocolate"
Alien 2: "Okay fine but leave the windows rolled up and the doors locked. You remember what happened last time."
Another day, another tale of giving root access to text generators.

Could we maybe stop voting for depraved sociopaths? Just as an experiment, maybe?
Did you know my scifi books are on bookshop.org? https://bookshop.org/shop/cyclotronpress
Also, until October 18th, take15% off select banned and challenged books with the code BBW26 on bookshop.org.
Support banned books! Don't let the bastards win.

First, DO NO HARM. Assholes.
Remember that feeling as a kid, running down a hill as fast as you can, until gravity outruns you and you're falling faster than you're running?
In a live session recording a human drummer. No comparison to AI slop. Not. Even. Close.
I specifically remember a computer ad circa 1977 or so which confidently stated no programmers would be needed again because they had a database you could program in "plain English". On CP/M.
My first thought was, "oh crap, here I'm getting interested in this as a profession and ALEADY I'm obsolete."
My second thought was, "oh, that's rubbish. It's just a database."

I’ve been told programmers would be replaced and no longer needed since 1977. Same as it ever was.
Same as it ever was.
Same as it ever was.

"open source became mighty because of its community. If we lose that, we lose everything"
So, what should I queue up to watch tonight in honor of the 60th birthday of Star Trek? The first episode aired? The first or second pilot? First movie? Classic episode? Galaxy Quest?

Boldly go.

I should add, no AI was used in composition, performance, or cover art. Compositions from my own fevered brain, performances by myself and live human studio musicians, stock photos on the cover.
You know, art by people.
Bandcamp Friday! Check out my classical pieces, recorded with real live string players on Bandcamp at https://aardvent.bandcamp.com/album/joy-and-beauty
Everything not saved will be lost

Saw Coyote v Acme this weekend, recommended, please go and support the film makers and distributer who saved the film.
I strongly, strongly suspect that the Warner Weasels wanted to delete the film because of its portrayal of the predatory cesspit that is large corporations. Can't have the peasants thinking these sorts of thoughts...
Call it what you want, it will always be Lake Epstein from now on.
It should be absolutely *humiliating* to be a billionaire. Shunned. Derided. Ridiculed. Recognized as the lowest form of life, vastly inferior to a cockroach.
That, we can do.
