@Edent I think you will find this interesting:

@lea_bei Hi, You may enjoy this Wikipedia article, which I just wrote, and where I cited your work:

I made my first online contribution (a Usenet post) 30 years ago today.

Half my life!

In the UK & Europe, daylight saving time this year runs from 31 Mar – 27 Oct.

In the USA & Canada, it's 10 Mar – 3 Nov.

In Australia, the opposite changes are 7 Apl – 6 Oct.

Why not make them coincide? Surely there would be cost savings on all sides?

This BBC News article tells us "Simon uploaded some of his father's images to a photo sharing site" and "posted the picture on social media last weekend" - but includes no links to either of them

@Edent I'm trying to add a bench to OpenBenches. Got as far as "uploading", but the progress bar is not moving.

Do you need to feed the hamster?

Fourteen years on, this is still an important point, and often overlooked by big news organisations:

@Edent When I comment on your blog, I see a "Notify me of new posts by email" checkbox, but the previous (and useful) "Notify me of new comments by email" option is missing. Is that deliberate?

Over 1,000 Wikipedia articles include the phrase "due to health reasons".

This makes me sad.

Please fix a few.

I corrected an egregious omission on Wikipedia, and created an article on beer flights:

Picked just now

I wrote a Wikipedia article about Obelisks, a newly discovered life form, smaller than a virus, about which little is yet known. It will be interesting to see others expand it.

I wonder how many of those recently enraged - albeit rightly so - about the wrongful convictions in the #PostOfficeScandal are also in favour of the death penalty?

I was reading an interesting, multi-paragraph, post on Facebook, when I was told my meal was ready.

I left the laptop open on the page. When I returned, I scrolled down a little - and Facebook showed me a timer graphic, then reloaded the page with new content.

That's #enshitification, right there.

OK, web managers; it's once again time to start searching your sites for "this year", "last year" and "next year"...

I can't believe I only have ten weeks left, to do my Christmas shopping
