COMPANION: What are they, Doctor?
THE DOCTOR: They're Daleks. Tin cans who like shouting. And exterminating.
DALEKs: Exterminate! Exterminate!
COMPANION: What will you do with us?
DALEK: We will arrange terms for a treaty!
OTHER DALEKS: Negotiate! Negotiate!
THE DOCTOR: And enslave everyone, I expect.
DALEK: Negative! In fact, the Daleks demand that all existing slaves be freed!
OTHER DALEKS: Emancipate! Emancipate!
COMPANION: Er, why do you keep shouting four-syllable words ending in "ate"?
DALEK: We like they way they sound when we say them!
DALEKS: Enunciate! Enunciate! Enunciate! Enunciate!
(While the DALEKS are all busy shouting THE DOCTOR and COMPANION quietly sneak away.)

I swapped mobile phones with my doppelganger in a parallel dimension. Face ID still works! His dimension don't know about transdimensional travel, so the photo roll on the phone I gave him is going to be really interesting to their scientists.
They don't have gen AI there either, so my doppelganger's going to tell them that any six-fingered hands are because of radiation-induced mutations caused by World War 3.

SARS-family vaccine beginning human trials in Perth:

Now begins the approximately 48 hour period during which you should not uncritically believe things you see on the internet.

Uncritical belief at other times is of course fine and will lead to no problems whatsoever.

You can do this in the half-century or so prior to the 1960s as well. It won’t help you blend in, but years later someone will connect the dots and they’ll be like, “WAIT, WHAT?”

If time travelling to anytime later than the 1960s and you are worried that you won’t blend in: simply dress outrageously and carry a sonic screwdriver. Everyone will assume you are cosplaying as the Doctor.

I've emailed my member of parliament re Australia stopping its funding for UN relief in Gaza.
If others want to do the same, here are a couple of links to be going on with:

The admin invited me to write an #Introduction message. Here it is.

Hello. I am not a dropbear. I am definitely not sitting in a nearby tree waiting to drop on you as you pass by. You definitely don't need to take any defensive precautions. Don't carry an umbrella; don't wear a bike helmet; don't smear Vegemite behind your ears. You shouldn't even bother to look up. You're perfectly safe.
