An unexpected change from the usual visitor. This is a youngish male fox who is usually very good at keeping out of sight. Nice to get a decent photo of him at last. https://www.permuted.org.uk/photography/fox-of-the-day/ #fox #nature #wildlife #photography

Working from home.
Agamemnon’s murder of Iphigenia led eventually to Agamemnon’s own killing and, more immediately, the revocation of his “Number 1 Dad” mug.
“You make your own luck in this life” said Agamemnon to Iphigenia.
In case you thought I was kidding.
My high school summer job in a mirror-breaking factory destroyed my luck for life. Or so I thought! As I have just been informed I may be entitled to thousands of rabbits’ feet in compensation!
If you break a mirror you will have seven years bad luck. If you don’t break a mirror you will have seven years bad luck. The only way to avoid seven years bad luck is to buy a subscription to my good luck club (good luck not guaranteed).
It is bad luck to kill a spider because they might have informed you about an opportunity to earn £££ working from home in your spare time.
Fall 2026 might become my benchmark for comparing Falls. It keeps giving. And I keep taking.

I should also say that most of the instructions for these things said not to build them by yourself, they need two people, but I *did* build them solo, and I only have a fucked knee and a blistered hand and possibly some slightly shoddily-built furniture.

If you still haven’t found “that special person”, it’s probably you. I know I am
What’s the opposite of monetising your online presence? Anyway, I’ve done that
I couldn’t find my electric screwdriver. This was a disaster. I have manually screwed in hundreds of screws and I think I’m getting a screwdriver blister on my palm.
I have built nine (9) pieces of flat pack furniture in two days. I once did seventeen (17) in a week, but i had my youth then.
I have also done two epic dump trips (not like that) with more cardboard than you can possibly imagine. Think of some cardboard. More than that.
I am so sore. My left knee has stopped working.
Researchers at TrendAI concluded the Israeli company Discover-Tech was one of the biggest sources of digital ads shown to users of SpaceX's Starlink service and that the ads were likely being used to geolocate or otherwise surveil them.
Why must I be the most put-upon person around. When is it my time. I could do so much good in this world if I wasn't so exhausted from all the other stuff. If I were Andy Burnham I would just pick people like me and agree they don't have to do all the other stuff and can just focus on doing art and cooking and making love and sleeping and helping out down the library and taking kids to the cinema and then just eating lots and lots of sandwiches and then having a nice lie down and watch the telly. That is what I would do. Why isn't he doing that? Because he is a TERRIBLE PRIME MINISTER. Someone have a word with him please. #UKpol
I’ve just put my favourite jumper on. The sun is low and golden in the sky. The cat is curled up asleep near my feet. I’m going to roast some squash for dinner.
Like Humpty Dumpty, I am having a great fall.
People think, just because I once tried an avocado, that I’m elitist, but it’s about so much more than that
