I just contributed to Kamala Harris through the Mastodon for Harris ActBlue page. https://secure.actblue.com/donate/mastodon-for-harris

If you don't have $ to spare, consider volunteering your time to Harris and/or a state or local Democratic candidate. Every seat we can turn blue, no matter where it is, helps to thwart the GOP fascist attack on our country.

Bannon et al went after K-12 boards. I expected a full throated response from #HigherEd. Then libraries, disinformation journalists, climate #researchers, educators of color….

I tramp around Mount St. Helens just North of #Portland in Wa, its sort of untouched and completely changed slopes. I’ve heard how gorgeous it was prior but this OPB report gives glimpses.

Listen- first 13 minutes of this BBC newshour piece. Not sure why intellectuals, pol thinkers, #journalists etc are not framing our political turmoil as an effort to destroy #democracy by sewing extremist turmoil via multi-channel, mass #propaganda. Nothing makes sense without that frame. #Academia

Went out for a walk and it’s cold. First day since 1980 #Portland #Oregon area does not make it out of the teens. Honestly, I’m originally from Chicago and didn’t really feel it too much on the morning walk. The pup though seems to be throwing me some nasty glances. #dogsofmastodon

Visited an old teacher of mine and her partner who moved out here. After pies, I waddled along the river. I saw a bald eagle 🦅, and a Sea Lion after steelhead way up the Willamette. Exciting, but sea lions are decimating river fish populations. #oregonwildlife #oregon.🦭🐟
Got crappy video:

From #CNN: “Here’s what we know about the suspect in the #Maine mass #shooting

An account on the #socialmedia…had a history of liking right-wing and #Republican political content.”

Harrowing sh#t. This is what a real MASH environment looks like. The heartwarming part is how much these #medics constantly watch over these wounded #soldiers. Can I ask wtf is this #war about? For one man’s ego? #Putin is a brain dead leader of an #oil and #gas mafia state. Instead of doing anything positive for #Russia, he’s trying to change borders or turn #Ukraine into rubble with civilians or soldiers buried in it.
