my current game obsession is BaBa is You. it's a very clever and mildly infuriating variation on the crate pusher, with really adorable graphics and truly annoying logic puzzles. i gave myself the task this year of getting better at Sokoban-style puzzles, since i assign them to my students and am often embarassingly bad at solving them. this is definitely working to close that gap. https://www.hempuli.com/baba/

I've been working on these STR-500 string sampler instruments for over a year, the first batch is nearly...done?

It's a strange feeling! Need to figure out the best strategy to sell them...there is waaaaay more demand than I can handle. This a good thing, I guess, but raises other issues.

Last week in Mannheim I encountered this great 2003 reprint of the 1928 German edition of Georgius Agricola's "De Re Metallica" originally from 1556, an early reference on the art, science, philosophy and economics of mining and chemistry.
