Has anyone made a VM that allows me to play GTA2 on Mac? You used to be able to download GTA2 from Rockstar’s site but that was eons ago.

It's weird when full-blown adults forget life before LLMs. If Alright Intelligence disappeared tomorrow I'd go back to having 30 tabs open researching how to do something in code before tabling it because my StackExchange question was closed as off-topic.
Just like crypto people hate that cryptocurrency projects took over the term, I hate LLMs took over "AI” when it's nowhere close to being so. But it's one less letter to write and it makes FOMO VCs pour money into the latest startup claiming they figured it out.
I enjoy the tangible benefits of LLMs but my life wouldn't end if they disappeared. I’m patient, my projects would just take longer.
First unsolder and solder complete! Plugged in the keyboard and the spacebar works! Huzzah!
It’s not that hard, this is great. Onto the rest of the board now, I have 140 new switches, not letting them go to waste!

Soldering kit, fan, extra solder, and Gateron milky yellow switches are on the way.
Oh yeah, I also had to buy a bag of springs because the one in the switch vanished. Quite impressed I haven’t found it yet.
I did a decent paint job but totally forget about the trackball buttons. This has been a series of unfortunate circumstances and frustrations.
I also had to buy a new PS/2 to USB adapter because the initial one I bought was flaky. SIGH
I put my spacebar on my Compaq MX-11800 the wrong way so I took it off but the switch flew off and I haven’t been able to fix it so the spacebar doesn’t continuously press.
So now I’m looking at needing soldering tools and a new switch…but if I gotta buy all that stuff, might as well have all new switches, right?
I’m annoyed.

The last paragraph of this memo is me talking to me. Before the existence of a “Marvel Cinematic Universe,” I was thinking of my stories and music existing in a massive omniverse. I graduated high-school 20 years ago and have yet to share them with the world.
The best thing is 1) I’m still alive, 2) my skills have improved, 3) more lived experience means better stories, and 4) the tooling available to enact my vision is democratized and affordable.
