TIL: Es gibt "Wago-Klemmen" von Würth

Maybe I'll try these from AliExpress... claiming 1.02 mm respectively 0.74 mm.

Dear chat, I need help finding new, smaller spring-loaded pogo pins. These ones are around 1.35 mm in diameter, their head is even 1.5 mm. I actually need to reach 1.27 mm pin spacing and was trying to do some tricks here. And failed. Measured shorts between pins. Any product recommendations? I should be able to insert them in a 3D print and also to attach wires — current approach is soldering. Also happy to receive more tips & tricks as you can consider me being a total treat fixture noob.

It seems that there is something like an SVD loader. But I don't have an SVD file with individual peripheral registers, only memory ranges. But I could have a look at the API they used.

Do I need to write a custom loader? Or is it sufficient or better to write some script? Do you have examples lying around I could re-use? Cheers!

Dear #Ghidra experts, I am trying to import and analyze a plain flat binary file with firmware for a known CPU architecture. As I am not sure about the start address, I am playing around with it. For analysis, it's super useful to create the memory map (ROM section, RAM sections, NVM and memory-mapped peripherals). Especially access to peripherals will assist in finding out what the code is doing. I don't want to manually write the map. What's best? 🧵

Is there a chance anyone here has a EMDVK9305SOC — an eval board for the EM Microelectronic EM9305 ("em | bleu") Bluetooth microcontroller/SoC which they don't need anymore? Or a logic analyzer trace of the SPI HCI programming (and optionally also including the UART of the USB/serial interfaces) the NVM with some blinky example using `blengine`?

Also: seems to be compatible with non-programmable #LEGO #Technic bricks.

Woohoo! My DiyIrTower PCBs have arrived!

Hi everyone. I don't understand the following #ESP32 #Xtensa assembly code and looking for explanations. I am not sure the Ghidra decompiler is doing the right thing here. Having trouble understanding the loop mnemonic here (`loop a5, LAB_400f7cd4`). a5 holds the loop count for the zero overhead loop. But what does the label hold? The end, i.e. where to continue after all iterations? Where does the loop begin and where is the end of an iteration? I am confused by the docs.

First Codeberg repository: https://codeberg.org/maehw/embroidery-39c3 (most stuff still on GitHub).

Tried to convert the #39C3 logo to an #embroidery file. 1st attempt in doing a satin stitch (big thanks to @drehumdiebolzen for the support!) This is it turned out on my old brother P-150. Even found some glow-in-the-dark thread which kind of fits the colors in the style guide: electric violet by day and neon green by night (black light). Unfortunately, the blue bobbin thread is peaking through (laziness).

:BoostOK:

Especially interesting to me: How did you get into the field? How did you build up your skills? What are your biggest challenges besides the technical ones?

🌟📝 Wishlist:

* I prefer hands-on technical work over administrative/organizational roles
* Reverse engineering that focuses on embedded systems, not mobile apps or web
* Using and contributing to FLOSS tools during working hours
* Part-time opportunities
* Fully remote or hybrid with minimal required office presence

Happy to see your public or private replies! 🚀

Hello! 👋 I don't want to #GetFediHired (yet?), but I am looking for contacts 👥 who can help me connect and offer a reality check on a potential new career path ⛰️🏁✅ by telling about their experiences.

I'm currently working as an embedded software engineer 💻, but I'm exploring a transition into IT/OT security — ideally working as a pentester or reverse engineer focusing on embedded devices, IoT, or SCADA systems 🔒🤖.

My thread... 🧵

Looks like I found the #curl HQ. 👀 @bagder

To sum it up: I will know how to rotate the pattern on the machine next time! I may chose the "38C3" wobbly text logo only (in Pilow Lava font)... no blub and no "illegal instructions" text around it. Or maybe with less density. At least there's a T-shirt to experiment with now - with the same fabric ad for another two T-shirts I have lying around as I was quite sure that my first attempt would fail or not be perfect.

c) Too many details. As described in the previous images, the texts "illegal" + "instructions" are barely readable. Maybe it's too small... or I should not have chosen both stroke and filling.

Quite likely, many things due to lack of experience. But sometimes you have to fail in order to improve.. that is supposably the core of "learning". -- I am open for any ideas and hints. How can my #embroidery be improved? I am actually happy that there is #FOSS such as #inkscape and #InkStitch available!
