A recent gorgeous, golden hour capture of the North Shore of Lake Superior by a local artist that’s highlighted in the bottom left corner of the photograph. Enjoy 😎

*Playing the Floor is Lava with the Fall colors!
Yesterday, I made the trek up Sawmill Dome in Little Marais, MN and found myself surrounded by the most vibrant Fall colors! It was like being surrounded by fire! Beautiful, and not very dangerous- FIRE!
If you look closely, you can see me!

Schmoo tolerating my obsessive photo taking…
The Environment
Just in case you forgot what a loathsome, environment-hating, big oil whore sack of orange shit Trunt is…
The above was a comment header from “Sailing Anarchy” (sailinganarchy.com) about the Guardian article link below, but I just had to laugh at the new nickname coined for this pathetic whining oaf; “Trunt” 👍🏼❗️🤣
Going to use this new nickname for the time being because it’s just so PERFECT. 🥳
Donald Trump has vowed to immediately halt offshore wind energy projects “on day one” of a new term as US president, in his most explicit threat yet to the industry and the latest in a series of promises to undo key aspects of the transition to cleaner energy.
Whatever the cause, there seems to be an increasing amount of absolute craziness demonstrated in people’s actions all over the planet or is it just a peripheral function of this fast-paced social media disinformation Internet curse we’re all living through?
Thankfully, there’s legal gummies, flowers and various THC oils to vape to mitigate the effects of this increased anxiety. 👍🏼😎

Smoky, my 1 year 3 month old male Domestic Blue kitten, and Queen Schmoo, my 3 year 10 month old Calico Norwegian Forest Cat, enjoying 4K bird videos on YouTube on the great room TV.
FYI, The missing slot on the Venetian blind is for the cats to look out and see what’s going on outside the north side of the house. I have another window on the other side of my desk as well with the same type opening for the kitties. They were forcing their heads through the blinds before and making quite a mess of it, so I made these openings to make it easier for them and also so they wouldn’t tear up the rest of the blinds.
Seems to be working quite nicely. 👍🏼

Domestic and Russian Blue cats are interesting to photograph because they look so different in different light and sometimes appear quite light colored, almost white, and sometimes quite dark. Interesting challenge for the photographer to be sure. 📸
In my humble opinion, black cats are the hardest to photograph.

Queen Schmoo, my 3 year 4 month old calico Norwegian Forest Cat, lounging near the top of the stairs which is one of her favorite spots while upstairs in my little 640 sq ft of living space (if you don’t count the enclosed porches or the basement). 🐈
Went a different way than most Americans in midlife and wanted a very small efficient home that would be easy to clean/maintain and heat/cool and not some humongous “McMansion” (like my little brother down in the Twin Cities) with a huge lawn to mow.

Happy International Dark Sky Week! Did you know that northern Minnesota has some of the darkest skies on Earth and that the BWCA (Boundary Waters Canoe Area) has been designated one of only 17 International Dark Sky Sanctuaries on the planet?

Recent photo from my local FB Lake Superior Photography Group for you to enjoy 😎
(By the way, this is not a photograph taken in the BWCA, but taken on Lake Superior’s north shore, but does give a nice representation somewhat of the clear dark skies with this capture of the Milky Way.)
