I'm still years away from wearing out my 2019 ICE Subaru. It was US made. I see Subaru introducing a number of EV models that would be suitable replacements, but they are quite expensive and also US made. Zero possibility of acquiring one of those unless there is a huge shift in circumstances. I'm glad I have time to wait.

I have performed the deliberately slow and difficult procedure and I'm ready for FDroid 2.0 on my daily driver.

On a 2nd phone, I've had GrapheneOS going for several months, and I've tested my critical apps over there, obtained via Fdroid and Aurora app store that front-ends play store. A few commercial apps, like Costco and Canadian Tire app didn't work well the last time I tried, but I can just use a browser instead.

I am ready.

This is not something I've seen before... Polo is a cat 4/5 heading off to the NW, as it moves away, conditions are favouring the development of another tropical system in the same spot that Polo just departed.

Usually a storm manages to mix up the ocean and transport heat into the upper atmosphere, enough that its not great for immediately forming more storms.

Polo is quite a small storm...and record levels of El Nino heat...maybe its just going to be hurricanes thru Feb.
