big thanks to @dgar for showing me the way of the Blender! Domo arigato gozaimasu, sensei

The best part of spooky season is the makeup.

Happy Halloween

If you have any use for a CC0 3D model of Earth spinning in space with a flyover of the moon in orbit, you're welcome to have at this any way you'd like.

Modeled and rendered in Blender, edited in Resolve. No AI was used in the creation of this Earth. Things are so weird right now that I wonder if I'm a character in someone's novel.

I voted early in person. I had a mail in ballot, but got to be sure it gets counted. Recommend you do the same if you live in the US

I wonder what the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are up to these days. I mean, they were teenagers when I was a little kid. Do you think they're following in the footsteps of Splinter, and now are teaching a new batch of like.. Teenage Mutant Ninja Hamsters?

Some dogs need their own bed. Others just need to touch the bed.

Also forgot to add: Don't do any of that AI stuff. If it's public domain, that means the people can take back Superman from the latest fascists. If anything, you should send a portion of any profits to the Siegels' and the Shusters'

In a few short years, Superman and Batman will be going into the public domain. Starting in 2034, anyone will have the right to produce and profit stories based on the original Superman and follow the history of comic characters in real time. Batman and Wonder Woman popping up in the following years.

You'd have to use the 𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗹 versions. But that's kind of a good thing. The original Superman was less god-like. He was the last survivor of Krypton, an advanced planet where people evolved to peak intelligence and physical fitness. It was bigger in size compared to Earth, so it had more gravity. Superman couldn't defy physics, but he was like a modern man in a world of cavemen on the moon, basically. Personally, I find it way more interesting that he was faster than a speeding bullet, more powerful than a locomotive, able to leap tall buildings in a single bound.. fighting for truth and justice under the guise of a mild-mannered news reporter of "The Daily Planet" in Metrpolis.

I would absolutely love to write about the world's first superhero beginning the fight for justice and peace in a time just before the rise of the Nazi Party and WWII coming right around the corner, when other heroes also begin to rise.

Also hooray for indie fan films!

I completely forgot my daughter played the baby on Breaking Bad for one episode. She just reminded me. I was hiring background actors at the time, sent in her photos, and they agreed she was absolutely adorable. So, she can legit brag about that. Might even get her hired somewhere. 😎

Hi #portfolioday I'm Mike AKA 𝗗𝗮𝗿𝗸𝘸𝘰𝘭𝘧

I'm a filmmaker/animator/artist with a BFA in Media Arts. I founded @megaultra and have a low-budget action film available free to watch on Tubi called 𝙇𝙚𝙛𝙩 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝘿𝙚𝙖𝙙 https://tubitv.com/movies/662559/left-for-dead

I'm currently looking to connect and collaborate with people who do #art #writing #music and #animation for a short animated passion project.

Evidence has been found that suggests the ancestors of the indigenous people of North America arrived about 25 thousand years ago.

Christopher Columbus was an asshole.

Happy Indigenous Day!

We had our friends Kyler and Ryan over last night to celebrate Ky's first year alcohol free. We made egpllant curry and vegan cookies for Ryan, and I keep fired up the grill for the carnivores. Ky is the fellow Ryan and I helped out last year get a tent and campground site for a while until the city could help him find a permanent home and a place to work. He posted up online that he had become homeless, so we helped out as much as possible.

Ky let me know that things haven't been easy. He lost cartilage in his knee, so he buckled over at work. He said he refused compensation because this was a long term issue for him. For that, his job got him off the floor and onto the phones, and now he's eligible for a raise. He said he met a friend who was also struggling to quit, but they can now call him to get talked out of it if they feel the urge.

I told him I was so proud, and this was something definitely worth celebrating. I let him know that my daughter had an extremely rough week, but the thought never even occurred to me to have a drink. So, hopefully it will be the same for them after enough time.

I said I hope he didn't mind that I shared his story online. His face lit up. I let him know there were a lot of people on here that are cheering him on, and I hope his story will inspire others like it does me. He was so, so happy. He said that was exactly what he needed to hear.

This sort of thing is so great. Ryan had been lonely, let down by people so much. This experience has been such a boost for all of us, and has made me proud of the city I live in. It's nice to know there are good people who help out a stranger in need. It's nice to know that in kind, they're helping out others. And I hope this reaches anybody out there that might need to hear it.

@sknob recently coined #doomcreate

If you're feeling angry or anxious, you can "Do Something" about it!

And if you need help with say #music #writing #animation #acting or anything of the sort, I can tell you from experience that all you have to do is ask. Because people here like helping, and they like sharing, and they like coming together to see what everyone is making.

So don't ask AI. Ask the Fediverse!
